This term we have begun our new WAU topic on 'Birds, Bugs and Beasts'.

We have created some amazing honey bees in their hives. Have a look at our wonderful art work.

We also used junk materials from home, and in our classroom, to make some owls. We are all very pleased with our outcomes, they look fantastic. 

To encourage lots of birds to our school garden we have made some bird seed cakes, created a flow chart and written instructions on how to make these. Then we put them out in our school garden for the birds to enjoy.

We spent time indoors learning about the features of a range of different bugs and mini-beasts we may come across in our school garden and grounds.

Then we went outdoors on our bug hunt. It was so much fun and we found lots of weird and wonderful bugs and mini-beasts.
