AmmA Creative Learning & Declan Carville, Children’s Author - April 2025
Our class had a fabulous time meeting Declan Carville, a local author from Rostrevor. During his visit Declan read us some of his amazing picture book stories and explained about the illustrators for his stories. Everyone enjoyed his Creative Literacy Workshop.
We started our morning listening to Declan’s story, ‘Nelly Fandango,’ before going on to create our own characters and short story ideas.
Once the characters were drawn an animation app was used to bring the characters to life. Please look at some of our characters below.
