  • Ella, Sam and George - Windsor Hill's own Covid Warriors

    Thu 30 Apr 2020

We are all trying our best to follow the instructions to stop the spread of Covid by Staying at Home to Stay Safe.  Behind the scenes doctors and scientists are working on finding a vaccine for this awful virus which is keeping us all off school.  To do this work they need blood from people of all ages.  Ella, Sam and George recently provided vital samples for this work.  They were very brave.  Mum reported - Not a single tear!! Congratulations and an enormous thank you from everyone in Windsor Hill to Ella, Sam and George our very own COVID19 Warriors for their part in this important study.

We have their smiling pictures after their bloods were taken on the link below.

  • The Department of Education Northern Ireland (DENI) Safer Schools App

    Mon 20 Apr 2020

    DENI Safer Schools App Launched

    Dear Parents and Carers,

In these unprecedented times, everyone is spending more time online at home, including our children and young people. The Internet provides many benefits in keeping us all connected; however, for our children and young people especially, this can present more significant risks.

The online environment can be overwhelming at times.  It is therefore important we understand what our children are doing online and in so doing protect them online. The Department of Education Northern Ireland (DENI) Safer Schools App aims to help with this.

please consider downloading DENI 'Safer Schools App' which has been developed in conjunction with with Ineqe Safeguarding Group.

    About the App

The App is designed to support you, as you keep the children and young people in your care safer online. It provides information on how you can make your home and your children's devices safer: provides a greater understanding Social Media and highlights the benefits and risks of popular apps such as Snapchat, Instagram, House Party to name but a few. The app also provides suggestions on inspiring healthy media habits and screen time as well as an increased awareness of scams and personal information security. The in-app safety centre also provide you up to date information on how to block, mute and report anything you or the child in your care may find worrying or upsetting online from images to comments from online bullies or trolls.
