Explore Woodland Field Trip
Primary 6 and 7 enjoyed an Explore Woodland Field Trip today (Friday 9th March) in Castlewellan Forest Park as part of their 'World Around Us' studies. The slide show below gives a flavor of the day...
...we walked, and measured, and observed, and listened; we played games, told stories, investigated and got a little muddy; we saw giant redwoods in the arboretum, frogs and frogspawn in the old fountain, snowdrops and daffodils in the spring garden and calculated the age of a beech tree in a forest clearing. The first signs of spring were in the air, and in our step, and a great day was had by all.
