Hello P6!
I'm sure you are all ready for the summer break, given the hard work that has been done these past three months. Well, I've got news for you... It's the final countdown!! Here are your notes for the week ahead:
MyOn - Can I just say, the creative writing projects were AMAZING! Possibly my favourite so far?! (Although, it is hard to pick, I've been so impressed with all the writing being sent in!) I thoroughly enjoyed reading your adventure stories. Thank you so much to the 14 people who completed their project and took part in the peer reviewing activity. I had fun commenting, I hope you did too! You were all so kind and lovely to each other and you had lots of positive feedback about each other's work. I loved how you were picking out all the best language features and giving examples in your comments. I think we have a few teachers in the making!! There were a few stories added later on Friday evening, so I've left the peer review turned on if anyone has time to go and leave some feedback for these people. Please keep up your daily reading on MyOn this week, and indeed, into the summer months if you wish.
Art - The final pieces of artwork have been added to a new album. I know some of you have sent in your artwork each week faithfully, while others have dipped in and out of art activities. Thank you so much to everyone who sent art in at any time during lockdown. It was one of the things that brought a smile to my face each week.
Literacy - This week in Literacy I'd like you to write about your time in P6. You'll see more information in the Literacy section. I would love to read your final piece of writing as a P6 pupil! You know what to do by now, send your work to rnesbitt653@c2kni.net before Friday 26th June. There's also a few comprehensions for you to complete.
Numeracy - New topic for the final week (and 2 days). Probability! Please do take some time to have a go at the activities. There's also some word problems for you to complete.
Revision Booklets - A new section has been added when you click on 'Class Pages' called 'Summer School Catch-Up'. Here you will find the revision booklets that I shared with you a few weeks ago, plus some new ones. You don't have to do Home School all summer, but since we've been out of school for so long, it might be useful to dip in and out of these from time to time. They are very useful for keeping skills sharp as you prepare for P7!
I'll see you back here next Monday for some final notes! If you need anything in the meantime, ask your adult to email me!
Remember -
Speak soon,
Miss Nesbitt
