Trip to Castlewellan Forest Park
Pupils from Primary 5 visited Castlewellan Forest Park recently to learn more about their WAU topic of birds. Before going outside for a 'bird watch' (complete with binoculars), they reviewed their learing to date. Their activities taught them the importance of listening and hunting for clues (especially the 'Murder Mystery!' activity - 'Who killed Bob the Robin?') and on their adventure around the park they caught sight of a rare Red Kite as well as other birds.
